Frank Casagrande
Frank A. Casagrande is a consultant with Grahall, LLC. He works primarily with education, healthcare and tax-exempt organizations to ensure that their mission is supported by their investments in human resources. Frank’s clients are assured that their processes and levels of compensation and benefits can both be supported by and withstand the scrutiny of all stakeholders. Frank manages client relationships and projects in all consulting areas with individual expertise in executive and faculty compensation and benefits consulting.
He works for Boards of Directors and Trustees and with Senior Management to ensure that processes are in place to design and implement executive compensation and benefits programs that help recruit, reward and retain highly qualified mission driven leadership. This work includes design, implementation and maintenance of executive total remuneration structures including base salary structures, short and long-term incentive plans, and benefits and retirement programs. The results of his work are simple, effective and defensible executive compensation and benefits programs that allow organizations to spend more time talking about how to achieve their organizational goals through the level of performance of their leadership rather than the level of compensation and benefits.
Frank works with institutional leadership and/or faculty compensation and benefits committees in establishing faculty compensation philosophies and total remuneration frameworks. His work has helped institutions design and implement faculty total remuneration frameworks that are owned by the institution, created through shared governance processes, transparent to all stakeholders and fair to both faculty and the institution.
Frank has more than 25 years of experience with a variety of firms including Hay Group, KPMG Peat Marwick and Buck Consultants where he worked as institutions of higher education sector leader, not-for-profit executive compensation consultant, faculty compensation consultant, committee facilitator, tax compliance consultant, employee benefit plan audit specialist and actuarial consultant.
