Stephen Karp
Stephen Karp is a consultant with Grahall, LLC. Stephen brings over 27 years of business expertise in various senior managerial capacities to help his clients. As a result, Stephen Karp has become a trusted advisor and “go to” person for leading organizations. Stephen’s clients regard him as a knowledgeable listener, a strategic thinker, and an innovative problem solver. Throughout his career, he has developed creative solutions to tough business issues, implemented those innovations, and managed the resulting operations. Stephen’s compensation consulting practice specializes in executive total rewards, compensation process design, and incentive plan conception.
After receiving a BS degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and a MBA in finance from New York University, Stephen worked for ABC News, CBS, and Ryder System over the next 17 years. He held several positions in the human resources, finance, sales, and support operations functions.
After leaving Ryder, Stephen helped his clients write business plans, develop forecasts, design incentive plans, improve human resource process, and forge strategic partnerships. Stephen demonstrated success in his next role as Senior Managing Consultant for Mullin Consulting, a leading executive benefits consulting firm. Stephen was successfully recruited by Spherion as an upgrade to the senior human resources team. Stephen became a key member of senior management and redefined the company’s approach to total rewards until his departure.
In 2008, Stephen founded and continues to lead Karp Solutions. Karp Solutions delivers broad insights for organizations in the areas of human resources and workforce strategies, performance enhancements, cost reductions, revenue generation, executive and employee benefits innovations, and business financial planning.
Stephen has presented to congressional staff on employee benefits and has published articles in national periodicals on topics such as deferred compensation, long-term disability, benefits funding, and 529 plans.
Stephen and his family have lived in South Florida for the past 22 years.
